Gameplay
Three players
"compete", but only two do at a time.
To begin, two challengers choose a prize
(some bizarre prizes, like a used car, your weight in steaks, paying your phone
bill, and three mystery prizes is just a sample) from a board of choices (while
the champion waits offstage).
They
then play a game similar to that of Pass the Buck. Jack reads a category, and
the players must name things associated with them, one at time (whichever has
the light in front of them), hoping what they name
is on a board with 9 of the answers on them, in 30 seconds. Once a player
names something on the board,
they
lose control. When time runs out, whoever is in control is "caught in the
act." When a player is caught in the act, they are the loser, and the
winning player wins their prize.
The
loser switches positions with the champion. The same type game is played again,
and the player caught in the act switches places with the player sitting out. If
all 9 of the answers are named, each player win their prizes, win or lose (bonus
prizes), and they play another round the same way.
When each player has more then one prize, they can go for one of their opponents
prizes. The first player to win three games wins the game and goes to the bonus
round.

Bonus Round
The
object of the bonus game is very similar. In 60 seconds, the player names as
much as they can about a subject. There are three subjects,
and
three things they must name on each on the board. To begin, a player can reveal
an answer about any of the subjects. If they can name all three in a subject,
they win
$500, and three across in a row, they also win $500. Revealing all 9 wins
$10,000.

My review
Simple game. Pretty much a variation of Pass the Buck (it even uses it's theme song!). Those prizes, WHAT?!?! Talk about BIZARRE! Jack does a pretty good job. That set...Chain Reaction anyone? Cheapo Bob Stewart probably used every part of that set on it.
