Main Game
Combination Lock is an unsold pilot, created by fellow game show fan, John Ricci Jr. The object is to "Unlock Your Fortune."
Two
contestants compete for the entire show. All of the questions are in the form of
an analogy (ie, Chuck Woolery is to Greed, as Regis Philbin is to...). Each
question has three choices. In
round
1, a correct answer is worth £20 and control of the board. The player may
choose to pick a number or pass to their opponent. Eight numbers are on
the board. 3 of the numbers are a part of the "Combination", picking
one wins
2£5,
picking the second wins £50, and the third wins £75. Two also have money
bags behind them (too add to their score), two are worthless, and one is the
"Burgler", which is
bad and steals all
your money. Once all three numbers of the combination are found, the six
possibilities are put on the board.
Questions are again asked in the same way, and a correct answer gets a pick of
the board. One combination opens the safe and wins the money in their bank.
Round
2 is played the same. But, more money is put in the money bags and now there are
two "Burglers" on the board, adding a little gamble to it.
Race to the Finish
Round
3 is the "Race to the Finish." The scores are added to together and £25
is added to it. The first to six correct "digits" wins. The player in
the lead wins two free digits, and if the player has won the first two rounds,
they get a third as well. Each correct answer wins a digit. The player who get
to six first, wins the game, the money and goes to the "Super Lock"
round.
Super Lock
In the Super Lock round, you
can "Unlock Your Fortune." The player picks one of three subjects. The
player has 40
seconds to establish a time, starting at 30 seconds, and increasing by 10
seconds for each correct answer, and decreases by 10 for each incorrect answer.
All of the questions are True/False. The player then
uses
the time they accumulated to figure out the combination of the safe.
The
player picks three numbers at a time. If they pick a correct number, they must
lead off with
that number on their next selection. Once they find all three, they must figure
out the correct combination. If they get the correct combination, they win £1000.
